(More customer reviews)I purchased this receiver because of its claimed HDMI capability - there are no others yet on the market much under $1000.
I could not get it to perform properly with my home theater, including HD plasma TV, with HDMI or component connections.I called JVC's service desk.After encountering several levels of expertise on their side, I was told the receiver needed a "firmware upgrade" in order to operate as claimed.I said I would just return it to Amazon for another, but JVC intimated that I would only encounter the same problem.I had to ship it to JVC's service center, at my expense.After 10 days, I called the center, and was told it had been received a week earlier, but had not yet been assigned to a technician.I could expect a four to six week time period before it would be returned.
I'll write another review when I get it back, and report on its performance.
