(More customer reviews)I purchased the Insignia 5.1 Home Theater system and it failed after one year. Warranty wouldn't cover it. Since the speakers were still good I decided to purchase just a DVD player and a receiver. So I went with the Insignia NS-R2000 because of the price and compatibility. The output was great, it has preset surround settings such as theater, hall, stadium, and church, that I found easy to choose from depending on what I was watching. It doesn't have a powered sub woofer output. After a year and a half the receiver would not stay on for more than ten seconds and automatically cuts off. I did some research and the problem is the output and driver transistor are blow in one or more channels. So be forewarned that the reliability of Insignia is not great. The price was the reason I purchased their product but if I had know that I would be spending several extra hundred bucks replacing it within three years I could have spent the money on a better quality theater system. I gave it two stars because while it lasted it was a good receiver.
